Inspired by the magic of walking at night under the moon and stars along paths lit by pools of moonlight. Each link of this necklace is a footprint. The silver links have been oxidised (blackened) and are interspersed with three gold links which appear as if lit by the warm glow of the moon.
This long version of Night Walk can be worn either at full length (89cm, 35") or, as a double strand (47cm, 19") creating a shorter length ( and the impression of a walk with a companion.
I’ve been inspired to explore my local area after dark by the joyous book “Nightwalking” by John Lewis-Stempel, whose shimmering prose reveals a nocturnal world we seldom experience in the modern world. I’d encourage any lover of the natural world to read it, and take a walk in a hidden world of light and sound.
